Technical data:

  • Design standards: EN 12285-1 & SANS 1535
  • Steel grade – S235JR, S355
  • Single or multi-chamber tanks
  • Working pressure: max 0,5 bar
  • Working temperature: from -20°C to + 50°C
  • Outer skin: grit-blasted to grade Sa 2,5 according to PN-ISO 8501-1 and with min. 800μ Polyurethane anti-corrosion coating, tested at 10 kV/14 kV
  • Optional internal anti-corrosion protection

Application

Storage of flammable and non-flammable liquids harmful to the environment with a density up to 1,1 kg/dm3 for EN 12285 Class A tanks and up to 1,9 kg/dm3 for tanks EN 12285 & SANS 1535.

Optional equipment:

  • Street covers in class C 250 KN and D 400 KN
  • Galvanized anchoring bands
  • Leak detection systems GOK

Underground tanks

Underground storage means safety and space saving.

One of the greatest advantages of underground storage is the possibility of using a high capacity tank: up to 100 000 litres.

Standard tank equipment:

Depending on the client’s requirements, a tank is equipped with:

  • a filling pipe with an overfill prevention valve
  • suction pipes
  • drain pipe for pumping out the water from the bottom of the tank
  • gauge pipe for measuring the level with a dipstick
  • manual gauge connection
  • automatic gauge connection (for a measuring probe)
  • vent connection
  • spare connection
  • VRS connection

We offer storage tanks that complies to South African design standards, European standars, for the safe storage of hydrocarbons, oxygenated solvents (Fuel, Oil, Lubricants and paraffin) and liquids that are hazardous to the environment. We offer our customer two options, singlewall and doublewall high-quality storage tanks, that allows for the proper storage of a product that is harmful to groundwater.
At CGH Group, we offer such tanks for sale in various versions in terms of tank capacity and accessories, tailored to suite our valued Customer’s needs and requirements.

The tanks our company manufacture are both single wall and double-walled. Our single wall option stores product in a steel tank that is coated on the exterior surface for the tank with corrosion protection that protects the tank from corrosive elements present underground.

Our Double wall option stores product in a primary steel tank, a secondary steel tank that serves as additional protection seprated by a small interstitial space for continual monitoring for possible compromise of the primary tank, thus protecting against possible uncontrolled leakage.

The secondary tank is coated on the exterior surface for the tank with corrosion protection that protects the tank from corrosive elements present underground. the stored medium is contained in the inner tank, while the second tank wall has an additional protective function, thus protecting against possible uncontrolled leakage.
